Abstract

V magistrskem delu je glavni cilj izpostaviti vidike vključevanja otrok priseljencev. Magistrsko delo je razdeljeno na teoretični in empirični del. V teoretičnem delu so na kratko predstavljeni pojmi, s katerimi se lahko srečajo otroci priseljencev znotraj šolskega območja, kot tudi v širši socialni skupnosti. Ugotavljamo, s kakšnimi procesi se lahko srečujejo, kaj vpliva na njihovo integracijo ter kako uspešna je le- ta. V nadaljevanju teoretičnega dela smo podrobneje preučili vzroke za splošne migracije, preučili smo tudi odnos in pogled do priseljencev na Slovenskem. V zadnjem delu smo predstavili samo vključitev otrok priseljencev v šolski sistem, kakšna je njihova uspešnost ter v kakšni meri k uspešnosti pripomorejo starši in šolski organi.

Secondary title: Integration of immigrant children into elementary school
Secondary abstract: This master thesis focuses on the aspect of integration of immigrant children. The thesis consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part concisely describes what kind of situations the immigrant children are faced with within school districts and the broader social community. We have determined which situations they are likely to encounter, what influences their integration, and how successful it is. Subsequently we thoroughly examined the main reasons for migrating in general, and studied the attitude and sentiment towards immigrants in Slovenia. In the last part we described the acceptance of immigrant children into the school system, their school performance and the extent to which parents and school bodies help their performance.
