Abstract

Področje socialno-emocionalnega razvoja je eno pomembnejših področij v razvoju predšolskega otroka. V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela smo predstavili razvojne mejnike socialnega in emocionalnega razvoja, ki strokovnim delavcem pomagajo pri organizaciji spodbudnega okolja ter pri načrtovanju primernih dejavnosti za skupino ali posameznega otroka, s katerimi pripomorejo k spodbujanju socialnega in emocionalnega razvoja. Zelo pomembno je, kakšne spodbude in možnosti otroku nudijo strokovni delavci, saj s tem vplivajo na socialno-emocionalni razvoj. Empirični del zajema raziskavo (N = 180), kjer smo ugotovili, da strokovni delavci slabše poznajo razvojne mejnike za socialno-emocionalno področje, saj so bili deleži pravilnih odgovorov, in sicer za področja: navezanost, emocionalno izražanje, zaznavanje sebe, odnos z odraslimi in odnos z vrstniki, večinoma pod 50 %. Tisti, ki imajo manj kot 10 let delovnih izkušenj, so dosegli nekoliko boljše rezultate v poznavanju mejnikov, od tistih z več kot 10 let delovnih izkušenj, razlik glede na delovno mesto ni bilo. Raziskava je pomembna z vidika izobraževanja strokovnih delavcev v predšolski vzgoji in z vidika uporabe metod za spodbujanje socialno-emocionalnega razvoja otrok, ki je ključen dejavnik pri uspešnem vključevanju otrok v šolo in širše družbeno okolje.

Secondary abstract: The field of socioemotional development is one of the most important areas in the development of preschool children. In the theoretical part of the thesis milestones of social and emotional development are presented. They help professionals in organizing a stimulating environment, planning appropriate activities for a group of children or an individual child and they stimulate social and emotional development. It is very important what kind of incentives and possibilities are offered to a child by professionals, since they affect socioemotional development. The empirical part of the thesis consists of a study (N = 180), confirming that professionals are less familiar with the developmental milestones for the socioemotional field. Namely the proportions of the correct answers for the areas dealing with attachment, emotional expression, self-perception, relationship with adults and peers were mostly under 50 %. Those who have more than 10 years of work experience have achieved slightly better results in understanding the milestones than those with less than 10 years of work experience; there were no job-related differences. The research is important for educating professionals in preschool education and in terms of using methods for promoting children's socioemotional development, which is a key factor in the successful integration of children into school and the wider social environment.
