Abstract

V diplomskem delu obravnavam vrtenje telesa okoli fiksne osi, ki ni glavna vztrajnostna os telesa. V teoretičnem delu podrobneje obravnavam vrtilno količino in tenzor vztrajnostnega momenta, katerega tudi izračunam za primer kvadra, ter predstavim koncept glavnih vztrajnostnih osi telesa. Količine nato povežem z Eulerjevimi enačbami za vrtenje. V praktičnem delu opišem postopek izdelave interaktivne animacije, ki sem jo izdelala v GeoGebri in v kateri lahko vrtimo kvader okoli poljubne osi skozi težišče in opazujemo spreminjanje vektorjev navora in vrtilne količine.

Secondary title: Rotation of a rigid body around a fixed axis
Secondary abstract: In the diploma thesis I discuss the rotation of a rigid body about a fixed axis that is not a principle axis. In the theoretical part, I take a closer look at angular momentum and the moment of inertia tensor, which I also calculate for a cuboid. I introduce the concept of principal axes, and connect these quantities with Euler's rotation equations. In the experimental part of my thesis, I describe how I made an interactive animation in GeoGebra, which enables the user to rotate a cuboid about any axis they choose, and shows how the torque and angular momentum vectors change with time.
