Elementi viktorijanskega romana v Fowlesovi Ženski francoskega poročnika

Abstract

Diplomsko delo obravnava elemente viktorijanskega romana, ki se kažejo v Fowlesovem romanu Ženska francoskega poročnika. Razdeljeno je na dva dela. V prvem na kratko prikaže značilnosti viktorijanskega romana na splošno, v drugem pa obravnava roman Ženska francoskega poročnika in prvine tako viktorijanskega romana kot tudi dobe, ki so v romanu prisotne. Namen dela je najti in utemeljiti podobnosti med izbranim romanom ter viktorijanskim romanom in dobo.

Secondary abstract:	This diploma thesis focuses on the elements of the Victorian novel, that are featured in Fowles' novel The French Lieutenant's Woman. It consists of two parts. The first part shortly explains the characteristics of the Victorian novel in general, while the second part deals with the novel The French Lieutenant's Woman and the elements of the Victorian novel as well as the era, that it features. The purpose of this thesis is to find and to discuss similarities between the chosen novel, and the Victorian novel and era.
