Abstract

V diplomskem delu sem naprej predstavila literarnozgodovinski kontekst pisateljev Jaroslava Haška in Bohumila Hrabala. Vir njunega navdiha je bilo njuno lastno življenje. Orisala sem nekatere značilnosti modernistične pripovedi in subjekta. Oba imata značilnosti posebnega tipa pripovedovalca, t. i. pabitelja. Literarni deli povezuje tudi način gostilniške pripovedke in tehnika kolaža. Na koncu obravnavam odnos obeh avtorjev do vojne in režima.

Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis is discussing first literary and historical context of the writers Jaroslav Hašek and Bohumil Hrabal. The source of their inspiration was their own life. Some characteristics of modernist narrative and subject were presented. The narrator in The Good Soldier Švejk is unreliable because of irony in his narration while the main protagonist is Švejk. The narrator in the novel I Served the King of England is an unreliable interpreter and at the same time the protagonist. Both share the same characteristics of a special narrator type called "pábitel". They both share characteristics of pub story style and collage technique. At the end the relation of both authors towards war and regime was discussed.
