diplomsko delo univerzitetnega študijskega programa Varstvoslovje
Abstract
Ljudje postanejo omotični in panični.
Najpogosteje si ogledajo: nogomet, košarko, rokomet, hokej in zimske športe.

Safety at Sports Events - Visitor's Feeling of Safety |
Secondary abstract: |
Sports Events attract a large number of people and the task or organizers and other people who are responsible for security is to provide security for this crowd. In a dangerous situation people start to panic, push and step on other people, all of this can lead to injuries and even to death. In addition to the crowd, the biggest danger is violence at sports events, the possibility of a terrorist attack, the risk of fire in enclosed space and the inappropriate infrastructure of the building. The biggest threat in enclosed space are smoke gases which reduce the visibility and orientation capability, while uncertainty increases. People become dizzy and begin to panic.
An individual's sense of security is not always equal to the actual state of safety in the environment in which he lives; however the feeling of safety is very important. For our own safety, we must take care of ourselves and not only rely on security personnel to do that for us. At the event, we must pay attention to the surroundings, stick together in pairs and not wonder around alone, we must inform security guards about possible violations. To ensure safety, preventive measures, such as various barriers and security checks at the entrance, are of extraordinary importance.
Sports events in Slovenia are generally safe, with which the visitors themselves agree. They believe that sports facilities are safely built. They do not find it appropriate to use pyrotechnic devices whose use is illegal. The biggest dilemma is caused by the permissible use of alcohol in sports events, the people's opinions are completely divided. Although they believe that sports events are generally safe, they would still want even greater safety. To improve safety they would introduce stricter penalties for offenders and more thorough security checks. Most often they are watching: football, basketball, handball, hockey and winter sports. |
