Abstract

#jaztudi (angl. MeToo). Gre za kampanijo, kjer eminentne osebe izpovedujejo zgodbe in delijo svoje izkušnje o spolnem nadlegovanju. Tudi na slovenskem področju imamo kampanijo (www.jaztudi.si), kjer žrtve spolnih napadov in spolnega nadlegovanja delijo svoje izkušnje oz. zlorabe.

Secondary title: Media reporting on sexual harassment in the workplace
Secondary abstract: Sexual harassment is the problem of today's modern society. Sexual harassment is more problematic if it happens in the workplace, where there are organizations of a closed type, far from the public eye. The fact is, that we do not have accurate statistics that would actually show the state of sexual harassment at the workplace. The reason for that is probably because victims do not dare to report such an offense for various reasons, because they would risk their social security, or better speaking, they could lose their job by exposure sexual harassment. Workers are a very important part of companies, both public and private, so we must urgently ensure the protection of their dignity and integrity in order to carry out their work as smoothly as possible and as long as possible. A key role in raising people's awareness of sexual harassment at the workplace is played by the media, who, through various contributions, warn workers of their rights provided by the state on the basis of adopted state legislation. Media attention helps workers to build maintaining a friendly working environment, that fully supports creative and productive work. Otherwise, it may also happen that media reporting is abused for purposes of discrediting an employer or companies, which greatly damages the reputation of the company and their employees. For this reason, it is important for employees to recognize various forms of sexual harassment at the workplace and to be able to take appropriate actions. The latest example of raising awareness of sexual harassment cases is so-called #MeToo campaign. It is a campaign where eminent people confess stories and share their experiences of sexual harassment. We also have a campaign in Slovenia (www.jaztudi.si), where victims of sexual assault and sexual harassment share their experiences or experiences. abuse.
