Abstract
Izhodišča in namen: Shizofrenija je ena izmed bolj stigmatiziranih bolezni. V diplomskem delu smo ugotavljali v kolikšni meri je socialna distanca pacientov s shizofrenijo posledica prepričanj in stereotipov o sami bolezni. Opredelili smo tudi kako demografija anketirancev vpliva na sprejetost pacientov s shizofrenijo.
Raziskovalne metode: Raziskava je temeljila na deskriptivni metodi kvantitativnega raziskovanja. Raziskava je bila izvedena preko spletnega portala 1ka spletne ankete. Zbiranje rezultatov je potekalo v prvem tednu novembra 2018. Anketa je zajemala 12 vprašanj. Podatke, pridobljene z anketnim vprašalnikom, smo obdelali v računalniškem programu IBM SPSS.
Rezultati: V anketi je sodelovalo 908 oseb iz celotne Slovenije, od tega 436 (48 %) moških in 472 (52 %) žensk. Četrtina anketiranih poroča negativno prikazovanje shizofrenije v medijih. Le 50 (5,5 %) anketiranih je mnenja, da so pacienti s shizofrenijo nevarni. Izražanje socialne distance se je večalo s stopnjevanjem k tesnejši interakciji in stikom s pacientom. Najvišje izražena socialna distanca se je pokazala pri 390 (43 %) anketirancih, ki se ne bi poročili s pacientom, ki ima shizofrenijo.
Diskusija in zaključek: Seznanjenost o duševni motnji shizofreniji je površna zato priporočamo spodbujanje promocije duševnega zdravja in preventive duševnih motenj po Sloveniji za zmanjšanje stigmatizacije do pacientov s shizofrenijo.

Introduction: Schizophrenia is one of the most stigmatized mental disorders. In thesis, we determined the extent to which the social distance of patients with schizophrenia was due to beliefs and stereotypes about disease itself. We also defined how the demographics of respondents influence the acceptance of patients with schizophrenia.
Research methodology: The research was based on a descriptive quantitative method. The survey was carried by using 1ka online tools and the surveys were collected in first week of November 2018. The survey contained 12 questions. The data obtained through a surveys were processed by the IBM SPSS computer software.
Results: The research involved 908 people from all over Slovenia, of which 436 (48 %) man and 472 (52 %) woman. One fourth of respondents reported a negative presentation of schizophrenia in the media. Only 50 (5.5 %) respondents think that patients with schizophrenia are dangerous. The expression of social distance has increased with the degree of personal intimacy. The highest in 390 (43 %) of respondents who would not get married to a patient with schizophrenia.
Conclusion: Awareness of the mental disorders schizophrenia is superficial, therefore it is recommended to promote the promotion of mental health and the prevention of mental disorders across Slovenia in order to reduce stigmatization to patients with schizophrenia. |
