Abstract

Uvod: Študij babištva od študentov zahteva hkrati pridobitev teoretičnega znanja in znanja praktičnih veščin. Na področju izobraževanja v babištvu se pričakuje, da bodo študenti v času študija razvili spretnost kritičnega presojanja in konstruktivnega reševanja problemov, da bodo dosegli končni cilj, tj. zagotavljanje kakovosti babiške oskrbe. Simulacija v babištvu je prikaz oziroma posnemanje bistvenih značilnosti resnične življenjske situacije z uporabo lutk, modelov in scenarijev v učne namene. Namen: Namen raziskave je spoznati pomen simulacijskega učenja za študente babištva in ugotoviti zadovoljstvo z obstoječimi simulacijskimi zmogljivostmi v kabinetu za babištvo ter zadovoljstvo s pridobljenimi spretnostmi. Metode dela: V diplomskem delu je bil uporabljen kvantitativni pristop s pomočjo kavzalno-neeksperimentalne metode, za katerega so bili podatki pridobljeni s pomočjo spletne ankete. Anketni vprašalnik je bil sestavljen iz enajstih vprašanj. Raziskava je bila osredotočena na 8 izbranih postopkov/posegov, ki so se jih študentke babištva učile na kabinetnih vajah v kabinetu s pomočjo simulacij. Raziskavo smo izvedli med študentkami drugega in tretjega letnika ter absolventkami visokošolskega strokovnega študijskega programa babištvo na Zdravstveni fakulteti v Ljubljani. Raziskava je potekala od 6. aprila 2018 do 7. maja 2018. Rezultati: 48,1 % anketiranih študentk si želi več kabinetnih vaj, vendar ne na račun zmanjšanega števila ur klinične prakse. 59,6 % študentk je bilo po končanih kabinetnih vajah nezadostno pripravljenih na klinično prakso, razloge za to pa vidijo predvsem v premajhnem številu ur vaj, v preredkih ponovitvah postopka in neustreznih simulatorjih. Splošno zadovoljstvo z opremo in prostori za kabinetne vaje je povprečno. Najbolj pozitivno ocenjena simulacija v kabinetu za babištvo je rokovanje z novorojenčkom. Najmanj zadovoljne so bile študentke s simulacijo vaginalnega pregleda. Študentke želijo izboljšanje simulacijskih zmogljivosti, predvsem na področju spremljanja poroda, in vidijo smisel v uvedbi obiska simulacijskega centra v študijski program babištvo. Razprava in zaključek: Simulacijsko učenje ima pomembno vlogo pri izobraževanju diplomiranih babic. Rezultati raziskave lahko pripomorejo k prenovi in izboljšanju simulacijskega učenja, med drugim s povečanjem števila ur kabinetnih vaj ter posodobitvijo prostorov in opreme za kabinetne vaje. Z nabavo novih simulatorjev pričakujemo postopno izboljšanje simulacijskih zmogljivosti v kabinetu za babištvo. Od kakovosti simuliranega praktičnega izobraževanja je odvisno zadovoljstvo in uspešnost študentov pri vključevanju v klinično okolje.

Secondary abstract: Introduction: Midwifery students must acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. During their education, they are expected to develop the ability of critical thinking and solving problems constructively to ensure quality midwifery care. Simulation in midwifery is demonstration of the essential characteristics of a real life situation using manikins, simulators, models and scenarios for learning purposes. Purpose: The significance of simulation-based learning for midwifery students was studied. The aim of this study was to explore satisfaction with existing simulation capacities at midwifery skills laboratory and satisfaction with acquired practical skills. Methods: Quantitative method of data collection based on causal-nonexperimental approach was used. Data were collected using online survey, consisted of eleven questions. Study was focused on eight selected simulated procedures during midwifery practical training. Second and third year students of Faculty of health sciences in Ljubljana and students who have completed studies but not yet graduated were involved. Survey was accessible since 6th April to 7th May 2018. Results: 48,1 % of students would like to have more practical training, but not less clinical placement. Many (59,6 %) felt not enough prepared for clinical placement, because of lack of practical training hours and incompatible simulators. Overall satisfaction with equipment and simulation environment was average. The most effective simulation between students was baby handling simulation. They were not fully satisfied with vaginal examination simulation. For the future, improved labour simulation and visiting the simulation center are desired. Discussion and conclusion: Simulation-based learning is significant for midwifery education. The present study is an important first step in improving simulation-based learning, by increasing skills training hours and modernizing place and equipment of skills laboratory. New simulators would improve simulation abilities in midwifery skills laboratory. Quality of simulation-based learning depends on satisfaction and success in clinical environment.
