Abstract

Rezultate smo obdelali s programom Excel in jih podali opisno in grafično.

Secondary title: Awareness of parents about the importance of vaccination of children against pneumococcal infections
Secondary abstract: Theoretical bases: A registered nurse has large influence on parents at deciding on vaccination of their children. Nowadays parents look, read, talk about everything and so they daily meet with different opinions about vaccinaton. Many parents think that vaccination is unnecessary. Not only this, they even think that it is unacceptable that some vaccinations are obligatory. But we have to know that with vaccination we exterminated lethal diseases. Research methods: For theory we used decriptive method of work. In research we used quantitative methodology and carried out questionary. In research sample was included 54 parents of pre-school children, that we interviewed in one health center in Koroška . we processed results with program Excel and passed them decriptively and graphically. Results: We found out that parents are enough conscius from medical personnel, but they still do not know the meaning of vaccination of children agains pneumococcal infections. However in more than 50 % cases they decided for vaccination against these infections. Discussion and conclusion: It is important that parents trust personal doctors of their children and registered nurses. We think that prevention with vaccination is important because drugs for some disease does not exist yet.
