Abstract

Izhodišča: Zlom kolka je eden izmed najpogostejših poškodb starejših ljudi, ki povzroči nenadno spremembo v življenju. Za posledico ima lahko izrazito poslabšanje kakovosti življenja in je kljub napredku medicine še vedno smrtno nevarna poškodba. Samostojni posamezniki imajo lahko po poškodbi težave z gibanjem, postanejo odvisni pri izvajanju življenjskih aktivnosti. Metode: V zaključnem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo dela za opisovanje že obstoječih stanj in dejstev. Iskanje literature smo opravili v Univerzitetni knjižnici Maribor, v knjižnici Fakultete za zdravstvene vede Maribor in v tujih podatkovnih bazah Medline, PubMed, COBISS. Pri iskanju literature smo uporabili jezikovni kriterij, omejili smo se na strokovne in znanstvene članke objavljene v angleščini ter slovenščini. Vključili smo članke do katerih smo lahko dostopali v obsegu celotnih besedil, ki niso starejši od 10let, se nanašajo na osebe starejše od 65let in na oceno kakovosti življenja po zlomu kolka. Rezultati: Zlom kolka ne glede na način in uspeh zdravljenja povzroči delno ali popolno izgubo pomičnosti in s tem zmanjšano kakovost življenja 1/3 bolnikov. Diskusija in zaključek: Ker zlom kolka močno poslabša kakovost življenja starostnika, bi bilo priporočljivo, da se njegova bivalna okolica prilagodi njegovi varnosti, kakor tudi upošteva nasvete glede zdravil in njihovih učinkov.

Secondary title: Quality of life of the elderly after hip fracture
Secondary abstract: Introduction: The hip fracture is one from among and the most frequent injuries in elder people that cause sudden change in life. Consequences can lead to prominent life's quality escalation. Despite the progress in medicine, it is still among life-threatening injury. Independent individuals can face problems with movement, so they become dependent on carrying out several daily living activities. Methods: In closing part we applied descriptive manner of work of already existent conditions and facts. The literature review was carried out at the University of Maribor Library, at the library of Faculty of Health Science and in foreign databases Medline, PubMed, COBISS. Within literature research and using linguistic criterion, we confined the criteria to professional and scientific articles published in English and Slovenian. Included articles are entire texts; that are not older than 10 years; that refer to people older than 65 years and are based on evaluation of life quality after a hip fracture. Results: Regardless of manner and treatment success, a hip fracture causes partial or complete mobility loss thereby reduce life quality of 1/3 patient. Discussion and conclusion: As hip fracture strongly deteriorates quality of life in elder people, the recommendation is that surrounding of individual adapts oneself to one’s safety, also considering advice about medicine and its impacts.
