Abstract

V magistrski nalogi raziščemo področje interneta stvari in vseprisotnega računalništva ter podrobneje opišemo Appleov protokol za upravljanje pametnega doma HomeKit. Opišemo tudi konkurenčna protokola SmartThings in MQTT ter ju primerjamo s HomeKit. Za dokaz o konceptu smo implementirali prototip na računalniku Raspberry Pi z uporabo Homebridgea, odprtokodnega HomeKit strežnika, s katerim smo upravljali luči in žaluzije.

Secondary abstract: In the master's thesis we explore the field of Internet of Things and ubiquitous computing, and we will describe Apple's smart home protocol HomeKit in more detail. We also review the competitive protocols SmartThings and MQTT and compare them with HomeKit. To demonstrate the proof of concept, we also implemented a prototype on a Raspberry Pi computer using Homebridge, an open source HomeKit server that we used to control lights and blinds.
