Abstract
Tema diplomskega dela zajema celoten proces razvoja kratkega računalniško generiranega
predprodukcijskih priprav do izvedbene faze. V praktičnem delu so opisana orodja,
Mudbox, Adobe After Effects, Allegorithmic Bitmap2Material, Allegorithmic Painter in
Steinberg Cubase. Uporabljeni so bili vtičniki Redshift, MASH in Xgen. Rezultat
diplomskega dela je vizualno dovršen izdelek. Rezultati praktičnega dela so v zaključku
kritično ocenjeni, izpostavljeni so predlogi za potencialne izboljšave.

The subject of this thesis is the process of creating a computer-generated 3D film from the
basic concept to the final product. During the process we explored a whole array of skills
necessary to create computer-generated content.
In the theoretical part of the thesis work we outlined the field of 3D computer animation and
prepared an overview of relevant tools and techniques and a description of how they have
improved in recent years. We explored the classic production pipeline and addressed the
importance of different production phases and how they impact the quality of the final
product. In the practical part we described the tools we used to create roughly one minute of
3D computer-animated film for which we created an original character, animated it and
inserted it into a computer-generated 3D environment full of visual effects. In the film our
hero flies around on a magic skateboard and discovers different areas of the planet which he
inhabits. We added original music to the final video product. For the creation of the film we
used the following programs: Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Mudbox, Adobe
After Effects, Allegorithmic Bitmap2Material, Allegorithmic Painter and Steinberg Cubase.
We used the following plugins: Redshift, MASH and Xgen. The end product of the practical
part is a visually accomplished video. In the final phase of the work we critically evaluated
the product and adressed the ways in which it would be possible to improve it. |
