Secondary title: | Optimisation of the polymer material of the connector frame |
Secondary abstract: | Polymer composites are increasingly used for design purposes due to their properties. The purpose of the master’s thesis was the study and characterization of thermal, mechanical and fracture mechanical properties of various thermoplastic polymeric composites which could replace the current material which is used for the connector. We performed DSC and DMA analysis to study thermal properties and tensile test, Charpy impact test and fracture mechanics test for the study of material collapse. It has been found that thermoplastic polyurethane reinforced with long glass fibers exhibits best behaviour in our operating temperature range. |
