Abstract

Delo v vrtcu me navdaja s pozitivnimi občutki, novimi izzivi in priložnostmi. Eden od izzivov je pevski zbor. Ker me glasba spremlja že od malih nog, sem se odločila, da bo to tema mojega zaključnega dela. V svoji praksi sem opazila veliko pomanjkanja glasbe v vrtcu.

Secondary title: Choir as enrichment activity in kindergarten
Secondary abstract: Working in the kindergarten fills me with positive feelings and presents me with new challenges and opportunities, one of which is the kindergarten choir. Music has always been part of my childhood and has contributed to my decision to write about this topic in the thesis. During my practical work in the kindergarten, I noticed a considerate lack of music in the latter. Not only the lack of singing, but also the lack of dancing, playing on and introducing the instruments to children, and learning about the novelties in the world of music. It is evident from the literature that music helps children to develop, express and acquire vocabulary and hearing, and to interact better with peers. Children in preschool age are very receptive to music. It is our task to introduce singing to them in an understandable way, in order for them to take joy in it. It is important that children are indulged in music and singing. This, however, requires motivation, praise, persistence and zeal to work. Children also need to understand that singing is a responsibility, which requires a lot of learning, too. As a conductor, one must take into consideration that music, lyrics and melody make a meaningful and coherent whole and are appropriate for the child's age. The preschool period is the period of development, the acquisition of knowledge and experience for the school, as well as the period of childhood and learning. An important part of child's musical development are its parents and family, as children learn their first tunes and songs at home. Music activity in kindergarten is a form of pedagogical activity, with which children grow up in preschool and later in school; in addition, music is present in their lives on every step via different audiovisual media. It is thus imperative to enrich, upgrade and nurture music in kindergartens and schools.
