Abstract

Komunikacija, tako verbalna kot neverbalna, ki se med seboj tesno povezujeta in dopolnjujeta, je človekova primarna potreba in hkrati predstavlja vseživljenjski proces. Otroci sprva osvojijo neverbalno komunikacijo, šele nato pričnejo osvajati besedno oz. verbalno komunikacijo. Na razvoj obeh pa vplivajo številni dejavniki. Za vse strokovnjake, ki delujejo na področju predšolske vzgoje, pa tudi za starše, je pomembno, da vedo, kako natančno je otrok sposoben komunicirati v določenem trenutku, kar lahko ugotovimo s pomočjo instrumentarija - Komunikacijska matrika (Communication Matrix, Rowland, 2010), ki je bil uporabljen v raziskavi. Vzorec je vključeval 25 predšolskih otrok značilnega razvoja, kar pomeni, da nihče od njih ni bil obravnavan oz. voden kot otrok s posebnimi potrebami. Zmožnosti komuniciranja so ocenjevali vzgojitelji. Rezultati so pokazali, da večina otrok dosega razvoju ustrezno stopnjo komunikacije. Med dečki in deklicami so se pokazala statistično pomembne razlike, deklice dosegajo pomembno višje rezultate na področju komunikacije kot dečki.

Secondary abstract: Communication divided into verbal and non-verbal communication, which are closely linked and complementing each other, is one of mankind’s primary needs, representing a life-long process. Nonverbal communication occurs before verbal communication. This development depends on various factors. For all experts who work with preschool children and also for parents is important to know the accuracy of a child’s communication at a certain point, which was measured using the Communication Matrix (Rowland, 2010). The sample consisted of 25 pre-school children of normal development, which means that none of the children had special educational needs. The ability to communicate was measured by nursery teachers. The results show that the majority of children achieve the appropriate level of communication. However, statistically significant differences were shown between boys and girls, girls on average achieve higher results in the area of communication than boys.
