Abstract

Namen prispevka je poskus 'identifikacije' populacije potomcev priseljencev z območja nekdanje Jugoslavije glede na nekatere demografske in druge relevantne kazalce kot so: državljanstvo, etnična (narodna) struktura, jezik (materni in pogovorni), veroizpoved, spolna struktura, starostna struktura, izobrazbena struktura in status aktivnosti, pridobljene s popisom leta 2002. Glede na obravnavane 'objektivne' kazalnike ugotovimo dvoje: 1. obstajajo razlike med posameznimi etničnimi skupnostmi znotraj populacije potomcev priseljencev in 2. položaj potomcev priseljencev v družbeni strukturi je boljši v primerjavi s položajem priseljencev in se glede mnogih kazalnikov približuje strukturi večinskega naroda.

Secondary abstract: The aim of the article is to identify the population of descendants of immigrants from the territories of the former Yugoslavia according to some demographic and other relevant indicators, such as: citizenship, ethnic (national) structure, language (mother tongue and language of communication), religious belief, sex structure, age structure, education structure and activity status, acquired through the 2002 population census. On the basis of the dealt-with objective indicators, the following may be stated: 1. differences exist among individual ethnic communities within the population of immigrants' descendants, and 2. the status of immigrants' descendants within the social structure is better than the status of immigrants themselves,and is according to many indicators approaching the structure of the majority nation.
