Abstract

V magistrskem delu je predstavljeno delo službe za varstvo pred sevanji v Nuklearni elektrarni Krško. Opisano je delovanje elektrarne, predstavljene so teoretične osnove radioaktivnosti in ionizirajočega sevanja. Namen dela je prikazati pomen ščitenja na praktičnem primeru z meritvami pred in po ščitenju. Prav tako je bila izvedena meritev, s katero smo pridobili nuklidno sestavo v mediju opazovane komponente, da smo lahko naredili analitičen izračun in ga primerjali z izmerjenimi vrednostmi, da smo prikazali smiselnost uporabe ščita za zmanjšanje izpostavljenosti sevanju.

Secondary title: Safety measurements of radiation protection department in Nuclear power plant Krško
Secondary abstract: In the masters thesis the radiation protection department function in Nuclear power plant Krško is presented. We have described the basic operations of the plant, theoretical basics of radioactivity and ionising radiation. The purpose of the thesis is to show the importance of radiation shielding on practical example with measurements before and after shielding is being done. The measurement of gaining the nuclide composition in the media of the observed component has also been done for calculation of required thickness of radiation shield. We compared calculated values with measured values for purpose of showing the meaningful use of radiation shielding for reducing the radiation exposure.
