Abstract

Glede vsebnosti potencialno nevarnih kovin Cu, Cd, Zn in Pb kompost obeh obravnavanj ustreza 1. kakovosti. Sklenemo lahko, da dodatek encimskega pripravka Eurovix ni pospešil biotičnega aerobnega procesa kompostiranja, niti ni značilno vplival na parametre kakovosti proizvedenega komposta.

Secondary title: ǂThe ǂimpact of Eurovix enzymes on a controlled process of intensive composting of seperately collected biowaste
Secondary abstract: In this master thesis we wanted to determine whether the addition of the enzyme preparation Eurovix can accelerate the composting process. The input material was composed of 70 % of tree cuttings, foliage and grass, and 30 % of household biodegradable waste. The raw materials were crushed to particles of size ≤ 12 mm and homogenously mixed. Three controls and three test compost heaps contained 21 m3 of material, whereby the Eurovix enzyme preparation was mixed at 200 g/m3. Composting took place for 9 weeks. The intensive phase in a closed reactor was carried out for the first 4 weeks, followed by the subsequent maturation stage under the roof. Temperature and ventilation were controlled by computer-controlled ventilation. In both cases, the degree of hygienisation (T ≥ 60 ° C) was achieved. The phytotoxicity test with a garden cress (Lepidium sativum L.) showed that with and without the addition of Eurovix, a 100-fold dilution of the compost aqueous extract was required for non-restricted cress germination. The maturity of compost, estimated by measuring compost respiration rate, ranked both composts as a stable compost. As regards the content of potentially hazardous metals Cu, Cd, Zn, and Pb the both treatments corresponded to the 1st quality compost. It can be concluded that the addition of the enzyme preparation Eurovix did not accelerate the biotic aerobic composting process nor did it significantly affect the quality parameters of the produced compost.
