Abstract
Koncept upravljanja z vtisi izvira iz socialne psihologije in orisuje posameznikova prizadevanja, da bi ustvaril nadzor nad tem, kako ga dojemajo drugi ljudje. Upravljanje z vtisi je tesno povezano s konceptom samopredstavljanja, ritualnim procesom vsakdanje družbene izmenjave (Goffman, 1959). Osrednji namen študije je identificirati tiste osebnostne lastnosti ali vedenja posameznikov, ki se povezujejo z različnimi oblikami samopredstavljanja na družbenem omrežju Facebook. Bolj podrobno, zanima nas izražanje lažnega oz. realnega sebstva oziroma fiktivnih samopredstavitev v odnosu z avtentičnostjo, upravljanjem z vtisi, intenzivnostjo uporabe Facebooka ter dojemanjem samopredstavljanja v okolju družbenih omrežij.

Secondary abstract: |
The concept of impression management stems from social psychology and outlines the individual's efforts to create control over how other people perceive them. Impression management is closely linked to the concept of self-presentation, the ritual process of everyday social exchange (Goffman, 1959). The main purpose of the study is to identify those personality traits or individuals' behaviour that are associated with various forms of self-presentation on Facebook social network. We are particularly interested in the expression of a false or real selfhood or fictitious self-presentations in relation to authenticity, impression management, the intensity of using Facebook, and the perception of self-representation in the social networking environment. |
