Abstract

V diplomskem delu smo raziskovali razvoj predšolskega otroka in vpliv medijev nanj. V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela smo predstavili osnovne značilnosti medijev in osnovne značilnosti vedenja otrok. V sami raziskavi smo pridobili odgovore 175 anketirancev.

Secondary abstract: In the diploma thesis, we researched the development of the pre-school children and the influence of the media on them. In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis, we described the basic characteristics of the media and the characteristics of the behavior of the children. In the empirical part of the diploma thesis, we researched the frequency of media use in pre-school children, the level of cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of a preschool child in relation to the gender, age, parental education and stratum of the kindergarten, and the relationship between the use of the media and the degree of a personal development of a pre-school child. In the graduation, the descriptive and causal: non-experimental method of work was used. We collected data for research work with the help of a questionnaire, which was both in a print form and in a web form. Both the printed and online surveys of the parents of children were anonymous. The data we obtained were processed using the SPSS program and then displayed in the tables. In the study itself, we obtained the answers of 175 respondents. Through the research, we found that children use moderately the majority of the media. Children most often encroach upon television use and consequently imitate media heroes, which is also an important part of the growing up of the children. We found that the differences in some cases in the intellectual development of children occur with regard to the frequency of reading the press, but not according to the frequency of use of television, computer, and mobile devices. Similarly, in some cases, the differences in the social development of children appear in the relation to the frequency of the use of the press and television, but not the frequency of use of the computer and mobile devices. We also found that differences in physical development occur only in the use of press and television. Differences in children's emotional development in some cases occur depending on the frequency of the use of the press, but not in terms of the frequency of the use of television, a computer, and mobile devices.
