Abstract

Secondary title: Didactic characteristics of the work with course participants learning Slovene as a second/foreign language
Secondary abstract: In the course of history, education in Slovenia and Croatia has been subject to different intensive periods, since the school system has always had to adapt to the overall progress of humanity. Until the First World War, the Slovene pedagogical theory had been developing rigid and uniformly; after the war, pluralization of different directions with the primary purpose of improving the quality of life and education took place. Thus, pedagogical directions have developed, with their theoretical bases and methods that tried to contribute to the quality of education and, consequently, quality of living. Since Slovenia shared the same state community with Croats during that time, in addition to the analysis of pedagogical ideas in Slovenia, we also focus on research and analysis of pedagogical theories in Croatian territory and thus try to establish comparison of pedagogical theories between the two wars in these two territories.
