Abstract

Teoretična izhodišča: Samopodoba predstavlja posameznikov odnos do samega sebe. Diskusija in zaključek: Uporaba družbenih medijev ni sporna, vendar problem nastane takrat, kadar jih posameznik prekomerno in kompulzivno uporablja in ne more dneva preživeti brez družbenih omrežij.

Research methods: In empirical part we used quantative research method and the descriptive method was used in the search for literature. Results: We have found that the most exposed medium is social network. The results showed that young people think that the media influence the self-image of young people. We also found that young people think that the media has more influence on girls than on boys and that boys have a higher self-image. Discussion and conclusion: The use of social media is not controversial, but the problem arises when an individual overcompensively and compulsively uses them and can not spend the day without social networks.
