Abstract

Rezultati so po raznolikosti bogati, kar pripelje do zanimivih zaključkov.

Secondary title: The use of mobile phones during popular music concerts
Secondary abstract: It is a fact that internet and mobile technologies are developing fast and have, in the past few years or decades, changed mainly the popular music consumption, which presents a broad study field. Regarding the dominant trend of usage of mobile phones during concerts, the current study involves studying the reasons and motivations of individuals who use mobile phones to record or take photos during popular music concerts. 46 individuals participated in a study, which I carried out through the internet. The questionnaire consisted of open-ended and close-ended questions. Besides studying the reasons of usage of mobile phones during concerts, I was also interested where and which concerts do individuals usually attend, if they take photos or videos during concerts and why they tend to do that and also – what do they do with taken photos and videos. I was also interested if they watch concert videos on internet platforms and what is their general opinion of prohibition of mobile phones during popular music concerts. The majority of individuals always carry mobile phones with them, the main reasons are communicating, taking photos and filming. Main reasons for taking photos and filming videos are so they can save them in personal archive or share them with friends and acquaintances. Later on, the majority save the pictures and videos in their personal archive, share them with friends and acquaintances or share them on social media. A lot of respondents said they are bothered by the use of mobile phones during concerts, but the majority are still against their prohibition. The results are rich in diversity which gives interesting conclusions. The objective of this study was to broaden the study field on the present subject and to offer the basis for further studies.
