diplomsko delo

Abstract

Opišem in pojasnim vrste visokega tiska in opredelim vlogo orodij in druge tehnične komponente pri izdelavi grafike.

Secondary title: Roller as a matrix in high printing technique
Secondary abstract: The main topic of my paper is my own research of the block printing technique used in printmaking. In the technique researched, the roller that was once simply a tool, becomes more important and replaces the classic matrix. I can say that I approach the classic printing techniques in a modern way. Today's printmaking is diverse and embedded in contemporary art production, moreover, it is innovative and specific. Nevertheless, it maintains its quality and characteristics, even though this is not evident at first glance (Zrinski, 2008). In the introductory part of the paper, I focus on block printing art. I describe and explain the types of high-pressure printing and define the role of tools and other technical components in the production of art graphics. I go on to explain the technique that is the focus of my research. Here the roller is no longer a tool but is transformed into a matrix. I present the technical characteristics and describe the materials and tools required for this specific technique. In the main part of the paper, I describe the findings of my research and the artistic creative opportunities that this technique provides. In the final part, I use a formal art analysis to break down my own visual work, which was created with the already mentioned graphics technique. In the end, I summarize the key concepts and discoveries of my research.
