Abstract

Secondary abstract: Basis, aim: The menopause is a period in all women’s lives that they enter around the age of 51. Most women deal with numerous issues as a result of changes in progesterone and estrogen levels. The aim of the research is to determine what problems women face during menopause and how they alleviate them. Research methodology and methods: A quantitative research methodology and a descriptive work method based on positivistic philosophy were used. In order to gather data, we employed a structured survey containing 13 questions regarding problems women experience during menopause and how they deal with them. Results: As many as 72% of women listed sleep disorder as one of the main menopause problems, and 62% singled out hot flashes. 34% of the women also treat menopause related problems. 26% of these women control symptoms using natural alternative methods, 8% decided on hormonal treatment. Discussion and conclusion: Almost every woman faces menopause problems. Some use different forms of treatment, others decide to leave the problems untreated, either due to lack of awareness or the problems are less intense.
