| Secondary title: | Influence of facilitating conditions on the intention to use smartphones among elderly non-users of smartphones |
| Secondary abstract: | The thesis studies the influence of facilitating conditions on the intention to use smartphones among elderly non-users of smartphones. The basic aim of this thesis is to determine whether facilitating conditions influence the intention to use smartphones among elderly non-users of smartphones. Facilitating conditions represent the degree to which an individual believes that there is an organizational and technical infrastructure functioning as support for the use of a particular system. The empirical study is based on the TAM model (Technology acceptance model) and its upgrades. On the basis of data analysis from a representative telephone survey conducted by the Centre for Social Informatics at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ljubljana, I have confirmed my hypothesis that facilitating conditions have a positive impact on the intention to use smartphones among older non-users of smartphones. |
