Abstract

V podjetju SIJ Ravne Systems smo dobili nalogo, da izboljšamo konstrukcijo vodoravnih motornih klešč.

Secondary title: Improvements in the construction of the horizontal motor tongs
Secondary abstract: At SIJ Ravne Systems we were given the task of improving a horizontal motor tongs. With existing horizontal motor tongs, the customer lifted aluminium coils. They wanted to make improvements due to the repeated repairs in the same places. The customer desire was to improve critical places on the existing tongs and to increase load capacity from 15 t to 18 t. We started with modelling the existing tongs in PTC Creo Parametric. Then we made a numerical analysis on the same model. Using the finite element method we got information about critical places, which we improved further. We also proposed some further design solutions. The new model of horizontal motor tongs was again analysed by the numerical analysis. Finally, we obtained a new model of tongs with higher load capacity and structural improvements.
