Abstract

Neprofitne organizacije so organizacije, ki v sodobnem svetu zavzemajo iz leta v leto pomembnejše mesto. Gre za nadvse raznolike organizacije, ki jih je velikokrat težko razlikovati od profitno usmerjenih organizacij. Osnovni smisel njihovega obstoja predstavlja delovanje v splošne družbeno koristne namene in ne ustvarjanje dobička, kot je to cilj pri profitno usmerjenih organizacijah. Temeljna naloga managementa je enaka tako v neprofitnih kot tudi v profitno usmerjenih organizacijah. Management načrtuje, organizira, usmerja in nadzira delovanje pripadnikov organizacije na način, da organizacija uspešno ter učinkovito dosega cilje, ki so bili določeni s strani lastnikov, ustanoviteljev, oblasti, članov. Magistrsko delo je razdeljeno na dva dela. To sta teoretični in empirični. V teoretičnem delu so podrobneje predstavljena pojma management neprofitne organizacije ter neprofitna organizacija, v empiričnem delu pa smo predstavili management dveh neprofitnih in hkrati tudi nevladnih organizacij. To sta Zveza prijateljev mladine Slovenije ter Rdeči križ Slovenije. S pomočjo primerjalne analize smo prikazali razlike in podobnosti njunega managementa.

Secondary abstract:	Non-profit organizations are organizations, that are becoming increasingly important in the modern world. These organizations are very diverse and are often difficult to differentiate from profit-oriented organizations. Their basic purpose is the social benefit and not making profit, as is the purpose with profit oriented organizations. The basic goal of management is the same in both non-profit and profit-oriented organizations. The management plans, organizes, directs and supervises activities of the members of the organization in a way that ensures, that the organization is successfully and efficiently achieving the goals set by the owners, founders, authorities or members. The master's thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part explains in more detail the term non-profit organization and the term management of a non-profit organization. The empirical part demonstrates the management of two non-profit organisations that are also non-governmental organizations. These are the Zveza prijateljev mladine Slovenije (Association of Friends of Youth of Slovenia) and the Rdeči križ Slovenije (Slovenian Red Cross). Through comparative analysis we have shown the similarities and differences in their management.
