Pojem Boga v Deweyjevi filozofiji religije

Abstract

V začetku razprave obravnavamo religijsko misel Jonathana Edwardsa. V navezavi na njegovo misel tematiziramo pojem historicizma v religiji ter temeljne značilnosti pragmatistične filozofije. V nadaljevanju obravnavamo Deweyjevo delo Skupna vera in religijsko sporočilo, ki ga prinaša. Tematiziramo in analiziramo Deweyjev idiosinkratični pojem Boga ter ga navezujemo na sodobne pojme iz ameriških pragmatističnih filozofij in religij (R. Rorty, W. Dean idr.). Prispevek zaključuje premislek o pojmu divinizacije in prihodnosti religije po R. Rortyju.

Secondary title:	The Concept of God in Dewey‘s Philosophy of Religion
Secondary abstract:	In this paper, we will first look at Dewey‘s work –A Common Faith” and its religious message. We will then analyze Dewey‘s idiosyncratic concept of God and relate in some contemporary notions from American pragmatist philosophies and theologies (R. Rorty, W. Dean, etc.). In the second part, the possibility of a new religious notion of intersubjectivity will be first discussed. We will wind up with an ethical and educational relevance of Dewey’s philosophy of religion and the related pragmatic theology.
