Secondary abstract: | Beamforming is used in acoustic camera systems for sound sorce localization and obtaining a full sound image. Most are based on calculating TDOA between different microphone pairs and performing delay-and-sum on captured sound signals. One of the options for calculating sound source coordinates is multilateration which does not give a full sound image. SRP-PHAT is a robust process for microphone array beamforming that can be steered in the direction of points in the search space. With this we obtain sound power information and can consequently pinpoint location of the source. Calculating SRP-PHAT is process power costly therefore we use SRC as an effective way of finding global maximum. |
