delo diplomskega projekta
Abstract

Secondary abstract: |
Due to increasing competitiveness on the market, the struggle on the labor market is increasing. Thus, all employees must contribute to the organization's success and innovation. High levels of emotional intelligence and the ability to understand emotions can greatly help employees. The capacity of jobs in the tourism sector is increasing day by day as tourism develops more and more and more people travel and have higher expectations that need to be met or exceeded. Emotional intelligence can be more important than intellectual intelligence or IQ, in order to achieve success in life. We will learn about methods for measuring emotional intelligence and its impact on employment in general, as well as in tourism, which has due to the nature of work very challenging work environment. Because of the daily contact with people in the tourism sector the development of emotional intelligence is very important. This makes it easier to understand tourists' feelings and meet their needs and expectations. Tourism students, as future workers in the tourism sector, need to be aware of the importance of emotional development. Using the survey and the Bar-On Questionnaire, we will identify and validate or refute the hypotheses we have set: tourism students are emotionally intelligent and students are not aware of the importance of emotional intelligence in employment. Students performed well on the emotional intelligence test, they achieved good average and showed awareness of the impact of emotional intelligence development on employment and successful completion of workplace tasks. |
