Abstract

Za prikaz in analizo rezultatov smo uporabili metodo deskriptivne statistike. Rezultati: Anketiranke so od pozitivnih učinkov kombinirane oralne hormonske kontracepcije najpogosteje zaznale zmanjšanje dismenoreje (83 %), zmanjšanje volumna menstruacijske krvavitve (86,4 %) in preprečitev nezaželene nosečnosti.

Secondary title: The impact of combined oral hormonal contraception on the well-being of women
Secondary abstract: Theoretical background: Combined oral hormonal contraception represents an efficient method for preventing unwanted pregnancy. It comes with some benefits when treating gynaecological conditions. It also reduces risks for other health conditions. Combined oral hormonal contraception can cause unwanted side effects, which can lower the welfare of women and cause non-acceptance of this contraception method. The aim of the study was therefore to assess the impact of combined oral hormonal contraception on the welfare of women and its acceptance among women. Research methods: The diploma thesis was based on the quantitative research design. Survey method was used to collect the data. We used a convenience research sample (n = 177) of women. Descriptive statistics was used for data analysis and results presentation. Results: Dysmenorrhoea (83 %), small volume of menstrual bleeding (86,4 %), and preventing unwanted pregnancy was the most common positive side effect of combined oral hormonal contraception among women. Mood–swings (79 %), dryly vagina (59,8 %), reduced sexual libido (62,7 %), thrombosis (0,6 %), pulmonary embolism (1,1 %), cardio–vascular conditions (1,1 %), and liver conditions (0,6 %) were the most common negative side effects among women using combined oral hormonal contraception. 53,7 % women did not sense the changes in general welfare when using combined oral hormonal contraception. Discussion: Combined oral hormonal contraception has a certain effect on the welfare of women.
