Abstract

V diplomskem delu se soočamo s problemom sočasne uporabe več operacijskih sistemov, s poudarkom na sistemih Linux in Windows. Ukvarjamo se z iskanjem sistema za splošno uporabo, v katerem sočasno tečeta oba operacijska sistema. Cilj naloge je preučiti različne metode, izpostaviti njihove prednosti in slabosti ter opredeliti idealen sistem, ki izpolnjuje predpisane pogoje zmogljivosti in uporabnosti. Specificiran sistem zasnujemo, načrtamo in vzpostavimo, ter ga poskušamo izpopolniti in narediti uporabniku čim bolj prijaznega. Na koncu sistem izčrpno preizkusimo, ovrednotimo ter analiziramo izmerjene rezultate zmogljivosti. Izkaže se, da je naša predlagana rešitev primerna in enostavna za uporabo.

Secondary title: Simultaneous use of Linux and Windows operating systems with VFIO driver
Secondary abstract: In the thesis we face the problem of simultaneous use of multiple operating systems, focusing on Linux and Windows. We are searching for a general-purpose system in which both operating systems are running simultaneously. The goal of this work is to research various methods, highlight their strengths and weaknesses and define an ideal system that meets our required conditions of performance and usability. We design, plan and set up the specified system, try to perfect it and make it as user-friendly as possible. In the end, we thoroughly test the system, evaluate it and analyze the measured performance results. It turns out that our proposed solution is appropriate and easy to use.
