Abstract

Dobljeni simulacijski rezultati so pokazali učinkovitost in prednosti regulacije napetosti z avtomatskim centralnim napetostnim regulatorjem v kombinaciji s FACTS napravami.

Secondary title: Power system voltage control with central regulator
Secondary abstract: This master thesis discusses different approaches for power system voltage control. Next to classic solutions for voltage control (synchronous generators, power transformers, capacitors, coils, etc.) nowadays, faster and coordinated use of compensation devices are additionally needed. In this thesis, classic mechanical switching compensating devices and FACTS devices, which enable rapid voltage level control, were discussed in detail. The main goal of this thesis is to develop an algorithm of an automatic central voltage controller, which will automatically control and provide an adequate voltage level. To test the developed algorithm, an electrical power system model was built. This model closely describes Slovenian electrical power system in order to analyse its voltage level problems. Obtained simulation results show efficient and advantageous use of the automatic central voltage controller in combination with FACTS devices.
