Abstract

V diplomskem delu je bila izvedena numerična simulacija toka zraka in delcev v pljučih. Simulacija je bila izvedena na podlagi poenostavljenega modela pljuč. S pomočjo simulacijskega programa OpenFOAM-a smo pripravili več računskih mrež, ki so se razlikovale po gostoti celic. Z uporabo robnih in začetnih pogojev, smo izvedli numerično simulacijo in izbrali optimalno mrežo. Najprej je simulacija potekala samo z zrakom, nato pa smo k toku zraka dodali še zelo majhne delce, kjer smo opazovali njihovo odlaganje na različnih točkah poenostavljenega modela pljuč. Rezultate simulacije smo primerjali z avtorji drugih virov. Po zaključenem praktičnem delu diplomske naloge, smo rezultate analizirali in podali zaključke.

Secondary title: Simulation of particle laden air in lungs
Secondary abstract: In this Bachelor's thesis we analyze the simulation of flow particle laden in lungs. The simulation was run on simplified model of lungs. With the help of a simulation program OpenFOAM we made different meshes, which were different in density of nodes. Next we ran a simulation with proper boundary and initial conditions and chosen the optimal mesh. Firstly, we simulated only air in the next step we added the glass fibers where we studied the deposition density in different areas of the simplified model of lungs. Results of our simulation were compared to results of authors. Lastly, the results of the simulation, were analyzed and conclusions were made.
