magistrsko delo
Abstract
V teoretičnem delu so predstavljene značilnosti otrok in mladostnikov, napotenih v vzgojne zavode in potek postopka namestitve v vzgojni zavod. V nadaljevanju so opisani programi in cilji dela vzgojnih zavodov, profili zaposlenih v vzgojnih zavodih ter njihove izobraževalne in vzgojne dejavnosti. Na koncu so izpostavljena načela vzgojnega delovanja vzgojnih zavodov. V empiričnem delu magistrskega dela smo z ravnatelji štirih (od sedmih) vzgojnih domov v Sloveniji, s pomočjo strukturiranih intervjujev, izvedli raziskavo o delovanju vzgojnih domov v Sloveniji.

Secondary abstract: |
Children and youngsters are sent to behavior modification institutions when their emotional and behavioral outbursts become so intense, that all attempts are futile. The purpose of this paper is to present the activities of behavioral modification institutions in Slovenia, since this field is less documented. The theoretical part covers the characteristics of children and youngsters that are sent to behavior modification institutions as well as the accommodation procedure into these institutions. The topics discussed cover the programs and goals of behavior modification institutions, employee profiles as well as their educational and behavior modification actions. Lastly, the principles of behavior modification institutions, are discussed. The empirical part was made by the help of four Slovene principals of behavior modification institutions (in Slovenia there are seven such institutions) and incorporate structured interviews based on educational actions of Slovene behavior modification institution. The findings show that behavior modification institution accept a diverse population of youngsters. Children and youngsters are usually sent to behavior modification institution by social work centers. Principals believe that the reasons children are sent to behavior modification institution include inappropriate family situations. The purpose behavior modification institution wishes to achieve is to prepare individuals for independent life. The principals have also exposed some systematic flaws. Especially problematic are issues related to the autonomy of behavior modification institution, as well as legal issues which classify such institutions into the school branch. |
