Abstract
V diplomskem delu smo obravnavali področje rudarjenja kriptovalut. Teorijo o tem, kako poteka rudarjenje, smo predstavili na kriptovaluti bitcoin. V praktičnem delu smo rudarili kriptovaluto ether, na sistemu, ki smo ga sestavili sami. Da smo lažje razumeli, kaj sploh rudarjenje je in čemu je namenjeno, smo morali spoznati tudi tehnologijo veriženja blokov oziroma tehnologijo blockchain. Dotaknili smo se tudi varnosti in opisali različne načine shranjevanja kriptovalut. Na koncu smo s primerjavo narudarjenih kriptovalut videli, kakšen vpliv imata na rudarjenje težavnost in nagrada bloka.

Secondary abstract: |
In the diploma thesis we talked about the field of cryptocurrency mining. The theory of cryptocurrency mining is presented on bitcoin. In the practical part, we were mining cryptocurrency ether on a system we had assembled ourselves. For better understanding on what cryptocurrency mining is and what it is intended for, we also had to learn about blockchain technology. We also touched the security aspect and described different ways to store cryptocurrencies. At the end we analyzed the results we got out of our mining rig. We found out how block reward and difficulty level impact our results. |
