Secondary abstract: | In the bachelor’s thesis we examine numerical analysis of air flow through lungs. We describe theoretical background of flow simulations by deriving main equations for mass and moment continuum. Theory background of k-ω SST turbulence model is also presented. There were four different meshes made for the purpose of numerical analysis: one that has tetrahedral cells and three with polyhedral cells. Based on result comparison between four meshes, best one was selected and compared to the results of different numerical method studies presented in Koullapis and co. [1]. |
