Abstract

Secondary title: Use of 3D scanning and 3D printing to creat hand brace
Secondary abstract: In this thesis is presented reverse engineering because this technology is implemented in series production lines day by day. In this paper you can read about 3D digitalization, or object scanning, as more known to people and the most important theoretical part is about 3D printing, used materials and all existing 3D technologies. In experimental part is shown how to make a hand brace with 3D printing technology, from hand scanning and editing, to printing and surface finishing. Main goal of this assignment is to make a hand brace which is lighter, more water resistent and more esthetical when we compare it with existing hand plaster. It's also shown all complications at product design, specially with printing support material. Shape of hand brace is complicated for 3D printing, so printer has to print a lot of support material, which is hard to remove and leave surface smooth and clean.
