Abstract

V diplomskem delu obravnavamo lastnosti binarnih mešanic etanola in izopropanola. Izmerili smo njihove gostote in viskoznosti. Viskoznost raztopin pada s povečevanjem molskega deleža etanola in pada z naraščanjem temperature. Presežni molski volumni v vsem temperaturnem območju dosežejo ekstremne vrednosti pri približnem molskem deležu etanola xEtOH = 0,5. Presežni molski volumni s povečevanjem in zmanjševanjem molskega deleža etanola naraščajo simetrično.

Secondary title: Properties of binary mixtures of ethanol and isopropyl alcohol
Secondary abstract: In the frame of this diploma work, we measured viscosity and density of binary mixtures of ethanol and isopropyl alcohol. We prepared solutions with different molar fractions of ethanol (0 ≤xEtOH ≥ 1). Measurements were made in temperature range from 5 °C to 55 °C, with steps of 10 °C. Where possible, measurements were compared with those from literature. Results show, that density of mixtures of ethanol and isopropyl alcohol increases with increasing molar fraction of ethanol and decreases with rise of temperature. Viscosity of mixtures decreases with increasing molar fraction of ethanol and decreases with the rise of temperature. Values of excess molar volume reach their extreme values in solutions with molar fraction of ethanol of approximately xEtOH = 0,5. Viscosity deviations reach their minimum in solutions with molar fractions of ethanol of approximately xEtOH = 0,5. Taking values of excess molar volume and viscosity deviations into account, we conclude, that ethanol and isopropyl alcohol do not form an ideal solution.
