Abstract

Zaključna naloga obravnava alternativno tehnologijo hlajenja in mazanja orodja in materiala pri tehnologijah odrezavanja. Razvit je bil enokanalni sistem (ArcLub One) dovajanja MQL in CO2 v rezalno cono.

Secondary title: Analysis of oil droplets in single-channel supply of liquid CO2 and oil for cryognenic machining
Secondary abstract: The finalised work examines the alternative cooling and lubricating technologies for machinery and materials in machining. One-channel system (ArcLub One) was developed for feeding the Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) and CO2 into the machining zone. Review of existing research done into MQL determined the optimal parameters used in experimental work. The aim of this work was to determine the average size of droplets with varying feeding parameters of MQL and CO2, and the behaviour of different oils in mixing with CO2. It was determined the average radius of droplets increases with increasing volume flow of oil and droplets spread out more at higher volume flow of CO2. MQL oils performed better than base oils as the droplets were smaller and more spread out on the surface.
