Abstract

Zaradi ekonomskih in ekoloških vidikov se teži k vedno učinkovitejši izrabi energije. V marsikaterem procesu se pojavljajo nizkotemperaturni viri energije, ki jih s procesi za proizvodnjo električne energije iz toplote, ki so trenutno v množični uporabi, ne moremo dovolj učinkovito izkoristiti. Kot alternativa tem procesom se pojavlja trikotni ekspanzijski cikel, kjer se zaradi odsotnosti faznega prehoda delovnega fluida pri segrevanju toplota prenese veliko bolj učinkovito. Računalniške simulacije trikotnega ekspanzijskega cikla, organskega Rankinovega cikla in Kalina cikla ter primerjava med njimi so pokazale, da je trikotni ekspanzijski cikel veliko bolj učinkovit pri proizvodnji električne energije iz nizkotemperaturnih virov toplote. Z njim smo vedno pridobili največjo neto električno moč pri različnih nizkotemperaturnih virih toplote. Prav tako je po procesni zasnovi trikotni ekspanzijski cikel enostavnejši od organskega Rankinovega cikla in Kalina cikla.

Secondary title: Waste heat recovery with trilateral expansion cycle
Secondary abstract: Because of economical and environmental aspects effective usage of energy is getting more and more important. In many industrial processes there are low grade heat sources, which cannot be used effectively with heat recovery cycles that are in common use right now. As an alternative the Trilateral flash cycle is getting attention, because of it's effective heat transfer without phase change. Simulations of Trilateral flash cycle, organic Rankine cycle and Kalina cycle and comparison between them showed that Trilateral flash cycle is much more efficient in producing electrical power from low grade heat sources. With Trilateral flash cycle we produced most net electrical power from heat sources with different temperatures. The advantage of Trilateral flash cycle compared to Kalina cycle is also it's simplicity.
