društvo vinogradnikov Mala Nedelja

Abstract

Secondary title: Financial aspect and the development of a non-profit voluntary organisation: the Association of Winemakers Mala Nedelja
Secondary abstract: Cooperation between people plays an important role in our everyday life. Thus, working in a common societal interest is the goal of any non-profit organisation. In Slovenia, societies belonging to private non-profit organisations are predominant and are comprised of voluntary groups of individuals with similar interests. Especially in the rural part of Slovenia, organisations connect, educate, complement and above all, preserve cultural heritage. In my graduation thesis, I analysed the development of the competitiveness of a non-profit organisation in dependence on innovation and organisational structure. As an example I chose the Association of Winemakers Mala Nedelja, since I am closely connected with the organisation itself. The association is an example of good management practice and organisational structure. I was also interested in financial management of the association and the motivation of its members who act as volunteers from the very beginning. Success of the Association of Winemakers Mala Nedelja depends on relationships between members, motivation, proper task distribution and the desire for self-affirmation. In acquiring funds for the operation of a voluntary organisation, ingenuity and independence are important. The said association acquires financial resources for its activity with a membership fee, from material claims, activities of the association, donor and sponsor contributions and from public funds and other sources. The unused potential for obtaining resources are EU tenders.
