Abstract

V magistrskem delu je predstavljeno oblikovanje novih združenih študijskih prostorov za umetnike v Mariboru. Pomanjkanje umetniških študijskih programov in prostorov, kjer bi se ti izvajali, sta Univerza v Mariboru in Mestna občina Maribor zaznali že leta 2009, ko se je pojavila ideja o ustanovitvi umetniške akademije v Mariboru, vendar ta ni bila izvedena, prostorska problematika pa je še vedno aktualna. Magistrsko delo je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in praktičnega dela. V prvem sta opredeljena pojma umetnost in akademija, obravnavana pa sta nastanek prvih akademij za likovno umetnost in pregled umetniškega delovanja v Mariboru. Predstavljena sta razvoj mariborske univerze in iskanje primerne lokacije za vključitev nove akademije v urbanistični koncept univerze. Predstavljena sta tudi trenutno stanje in razvoj obravnavanega območja ter širše okolice. V praktičnem delu je na podlagi prilagojene programske vsebine natečajne naloge za novo stavbo Akademije za likovno umetnost in oblikovanje Univerze v Ljubljani pripravljen idejni predlog Akademije za likovno umetnost Univerze v Mariboru, ki zajema arhitekturno zasnovo in umestitev objekta v prostor.

Secondary abstract:	The master's thesis presents the designing of new joint study spaces for artists in Maribor. The shortage of art study programmes and spaces where the programmes would be carried out have been recognised by the University of Maribor and the Municipality of Maribor already in 2009, which is when the idea for the establishment of an academy of fine arts in Maribor arose; however, the academy was not established, and the spatial issue is still relevant. The master’s thesis consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part defines the notions of art and academy and deals with the establishment of the first academies of fine art and the overview of the art scene in Maribor. Furthermore, the development of the University of Maribor and the search for an appropriate location for the incorporation of the new academy into the urbanist concept of the University are presented. Lastly, the theoretical part presents the current state and the development of the considered area and its surroundings. The empirical part contains the proposal of the concept for the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Maribor, which contains the architectural concept and the placement of the object into the given space; the concept was prepared on the basis of the adapted contents of the contest for the new building of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design of the University of Ljubljana.
