Abstract

Raziskovali smo razširjenost in proizvodne potenciale visokovrednih manjšinskih drevesnih vrst na Kozjanskem. Uporabili smo podatke Zavoda za gozdove Slovenije, in sicer podatkovne zbirke sestojnih kart in stalnih vzorčnih ploskev, del podatkov o pomlajevanju smo dodatno posneli na terenu. Preučevali in analizirali smo razširjenost in obilje, priraščanje, pomlajevanje in vrast, kakovost in vrednost osmih izbranih manjšinskih in visokovrednih vrst (brek, češnja, macesen, gorski javor, graden, jelka, oreh, veliki jesen), ki smo jih v vseh analizah primerjali z dominantnima vrstama bukvijo in smreko. Analizirane vrste predstavljajo 17,7 % skupne lesne zaloge, prevladuje graden z 11,5 % v lesni zalogi.

Secondary title: Distribution and growth potential of high-value minority tree species in the Kozjansko region
Secondary abstract: We studied distribution and growth potentials of high-value minority tree species in the Kozjansko region. We used data of Slovenian Forest Service, namely databases of stand maps and permanent sample plots, data on tree species regeneration was additionally recorded in the field. We studied and analysed distribution and abundance, growth, regeneration and recruitment, quality and value of eight selected minority and high-value species (service tree, wild cherry, european larch, sycamore, sessile oak, silver fir, common walnut, common ash), which were all compared with the dominant species beech and spruce. The analysed species represented 17,7 % of the total stand volume, sessile oak predominating with 11,5 %. The most frequent species in the regeneration were sessile oak and sycamore. Both species are together with wild cherry and silver fir also the most frequent in recruitment, while the other species are less successful. The growing stock of the analysed minority tree species valued 32,9 % of the total gross value of growing stock of the analysed species. Minority tree species have high sales prices, which are generally higher than those of beech and spruce. The production and economic potentials of the analysed tree species in the Kozjansko region are high, which should be utilized through appropriate forest management and forestry measures.
