Abstract

V magistrskem delu so predstavljeni različni načini določanja položaja mobilnih naprav v celičnih omrežjih, določanje položaja z globalnimi navigacijskimi sistemi in hibridni načini določanja položaja. Raziskali smo tudi različne metode določanja položaja v naslednji, peti generaciji mobilnih celičnih omrežij (5G). V nadaljevanju smo s pomočjo mobilnih aplikacij primerjali delovanje in natančnost določanja položaja različnih metod.

Secondary title: Satellite navigation systems at the launch of 5G networks
Secondary abstract: The thesis presents various methods of determining the positioning of mobile devices in cellular networks, determining the position with global navigation satellite systems and hybrid systems of positioning. Various methods of positioning in the next, fifth generation of cellular networks (5G), have been explored as well. Operation and the precision of the positioning were analysed and compared with the help of mobile applications. The tests were performed in a densely populated urban area and in a less populated rural area. The results show that the determination with global navigation systems is much better than the determination of location in cellular networks as well as the fact that global navigation systems are more precise in rural areas than in urban cities.
