Abstract

Secondary title: Impacts of constructing of pipelines under traffic infrastructure on traffic and enviroment
Secondary abstract: In the thesis are there generally described traditional methods of constructing (open cut trenching) of pipelines under transport infrastructure as well as technologies of construction of pipelines without excavation (trenchless construction). There is also briefly presented development of trenchless building of pipelines throughout history and its importance in development of modern civil engineering. In the first part of the thesis is there defined a concept of socio-economic indicators including also their general describing and explaining of their importance in construction of pipelines and maintenance of transport infrastructure. There is also explained a modern software tool for determining of influence of socio-economic indicators on infrastructure projects. In the practical part of the thesis is there described a comparison made between one theoretical example (a traditional open-cut trenching) and one real example of a trenchless system called horizontal directional drilling (HDD). For the theoretical example were there used theoretical values and presumptions and real prices. The financial analysis was made with help of a program for investment evaluation which evaluated the key socio-economic indicators. In this way was there on a practical example defined how some important socio-economic indicators can be taken into account when planning projects and investments as they are mainly reflected in costs of users and external costs. At the end it was found out that our decision about using of a trenchless technology for construction of the above mentioned real example was appropriate and justified. All these facts also confirm that trenchless technologies are more suitable for pipeline construction in traffic burden and densely populated areas.
