Abstract

Secondary title: Integration of fields of motion and mathematics in the second age period in the kindergarten
Secondary abstract: The preschool period is certainly the period, when the child still plays a lot with a lot of movement. It is precisely the motion in this period, to which we assign great importance, since this period is fundamental for gaining motor skills and knowledge, which consequently impact other aspects of the child’s development. In order to ensure comprehensive development and include all the aspects, it is important that we integrate individual fields already in the preschool period. During the preschool period in the kindergarten, children are included into numerous fields of activity, including motion and mathematics, which are the subject of the thesis. In the thesis, we presented the importance of treating the child as a whole. We defined the developmental period of the child, aged 3-6 years, described the fields of motion and mathematics in the preschool period and presented activities, through which preschool children can gain knowledge and experience. We also presented, what needs to be included into planning of exercise classes. Finally, we presented five examples of integration of motion and mathematics. We integrated each mathematical field in the preschool period with motion through different physical activities.
