(diplomsko delo)
Abstract
Opravili smo sistematični pregled znanstvene in strokovne literature v podatkovnih bazah: PUBMED, SAGE Journals in Google Schoolar.
Multidisciplinarna obravnava vključuje delo pedopsihiatrov, pediatrov, kliničnih psihologov, specialnih pedagogov, defektologov, dietetikov, socialnih delavcev in medicinskih sester.

Inpatient treatment of an adolescent after a suicide attempt |
Secondary abstract: |
Introduction: Inpatient treatment of an adolescent after a suicide attempt is an important public-health issue. The purpose of the thesis is to present exactly what is the role of a nurse during the process of admission, research which fields collaborate in a multidisciplinary approach and what tools are used to do a complete suicide risk assessment.
Methods: The research methodology we used was a systematic review of scientific literature combined in three search engines: PUBMED, SAGE Journals in Google Schoolar. Our research was based on a predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria such as full text availability, articles issued between the years 2000 – 2019 and our inclusion languages were English and Slovene.
Results: In the admission of an adolescent to an inpatient psychiatric unit nurses play a big role because they contribute to adolescents attitude and help them during crisis. Multidisciplinary approach includes the cooperation of child psychiatrists, pediatricians, clinical psychologists, special educators, social workers, dialectologists, nurses and dieticians. We need to emphasize that tools of suicide assessment are best used with broad diagnostics.
Discussion and conclusion: Inpatient treatment of an adolescent after a suicide attempt is complex and requires and individual, multidisciplinary and holistic approach. Nursing health care is present during the whole process of hospitalization and has major inpact on an adolescent in an inpatient unit. Suicide assessment tools should be structured to cover all the areas where suicide risk may indicate a slight risk. |
